Big 5 Safari
The Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park is 55km / 45 minutes drive from St Lucia. The Big 5 Safari - lion, rhino, elephant, buffalo and leopard are all to be seen in the park, as well as a variety of other species, including cheetah, wild dog and giraffe.

Birding
The iSimangaliso Wetland Park is home to some of South Africa’s finest birding areas. These sites host a range of endemics such as Neergard’s Sunbird, Rudd’s Apalis, Woodward’s Batis and Lemon-breasted Canary.

Cape Vidal
Cape Vidal is renowned for it's unspoilt beaches and sport fishing. It holds the distinction of allowing visitors access to both the Africa Wildlife, such as the white rhino, as well as the Marine life of the Indian Ocean Coast.

Coelacanth
The coelacanth, like the dinosaur, was thought be extinct more than 70 million years ago. These fish were recently discovered, in the St Lucia Wetland Park Marine Coast.

Crocodile Centre
The Crocodile Centre offers an exciting and informative outing for visitors. Enjoy a guided tour conducted by a SATOUR registered guide who works with crocodiles daily. The Centre now hosts an impressive collection of snakes.

Fishing
For the South African locals, St Lucia is traditionally famous for it's fishing. The estuary and marine life is very rich and diverse making fishing an enormously popular activity along the entire St Lucia Coastline and the Estuary System.
